I've chosen not to use the tracks from Alex that I edited and rather use a mix with the song Pelican Narrows by Caribou and Echoes by Pink Floyd. I think my pieces needed something with a bit more speed and beat behind it.
Reflection
My piece is about a spot-motion about Wilfryd, a rabbit-like creature who finds a foetus and has a traumatic experience. I intended for my piece to invite the viewer into a different world. I wanted the piece to be more of an emotional experience than simply just being a narrative that unfolds.
The visuals I'm very happy with. I think the colours especially is the strongest aspect of my work. A weakness is shot where Wilfryd wakes up and the one where hits the ground are not focused. I think this could have been avoided if I worked from the images straight on the screen (I was just looking at my small LDC screen on my camera).
The sound is an overlay of two tracks; Echoes by Pink Floyd and Pelican Narrows by Caribou. I'm fairly happy with the sound in relation to what I set out to do. It is very emotive and gives my piece a much more depth. Although the music is strong I think it would have been a more valuable learning experience if I had composed the music fully myself, also if I ever wanted to show this piece out of school - I wouldn't have to worry about copyright if it was my own.
